Stories of fear, faith and becoming human
D. M. Green writes tender, hopeful stories about ordinary people who find themselves caught between fear and possibility. His characters live in recognisable situations, and they struggle with things many of us know well: grief, shame, anger, loneliness, self‑doubt. They don’t discover easy answers or quick fixes, but they do learn to pay attention to what is true in themselves and in others.
Across my books, growth comes not through control or certainty, but through honesty, courage and connection. When characters begin to tell the truth about what they feel, when they choose love over fear and presence over distraction, something loosens. Relationships heal. Perspective widens. The ordinary world—school corridors, park benches, kitchens, coastlines—begins to feel charged with meaning again.
Although these stories are grounded in everyday life, they carry a quiet spiritual current. They are interested less in doctrine than in lived faith: how trust is learned, how forgiveness works, how compassion changes both the giver and the receiver. Ultimately, my books are an invitation—to notice more, to be kinder, and to believe that even small acts of love can make a life, and a world, feel whole again.
A fantastic read that uplifts the spirit. A must read in a society of lost souls.
It is the story of somebody else, but has the magical ability to draw the reader in to their own life story.
